The “Clean Girl” Makeup
My personal favourite, clean girl makeup went viral a few years ago (in 2021), we went from full glam to barely any makeup in a second! So, what is clean girl makeup? Clean girl makeup is all about simplicity and enhancing natural beauty. It includes a light foundation or tinted moisturizer for an even skin tone, soft natural looking blush, soft eyeshadow, neutral lips… Minimal highlighting and contouring are used to achieve a fresh and effortless look, focusing on enhancing features without heavy makeup.
Let’s break down this creator’s routine:
Tinted Moisturizer or Skin Tint
Concealer: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
Brow Wax
Setting Powder: Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder
Eyelash Curler + Mascara: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes

Lip Gloss: REFY Lip Gloss
One of my favourite tutorials:

The “Soft Glam” Makeup

And here’s the tutorial for the eye look of the same makeup look:
The “Espresso” Makeup
Espresso makeup is all about using shades of brown inspired by espresso coffee, ranging from light to dark tones. These colours represent the richness of espresso and add warmth and depth to your makeup look.

Highlighter: Bobbi Brown Highlighter Powder
Brow Wax
Lip Liner: NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP + Nude Lipstick
The “Baddie” Makeup
I’ve been seeing the Baddie makeup lately on Pinterest and Tiktok, I believe the term and look initially comes from the UK; Baddie makeup is all about confidence and boldness. It often includes sharp eyeliner, thick lashes, defined brows, and contoured cheeks for a fierced look. Usually paired with nude lips, speaking of which, check out my article “The Best Drugstore Nude Lip Combos For Every Skin Tone”
I really loved the video linked below for a full baddie makeup tutorial, don’t forget to check the description box under the creator’s video for the full list of products used.
The “Barbie” Makeup
So, we know Barbie is all about pink, well so is the “Barbie” makeup look. Barbie makeup often features pink or silver eyeshadows, plenty of highlighter, rosy cheeks, pink nude lips, and a subtle winged eyeliner to enhance the eyes without being too bold. The goal of this makeup is to achieve a girly yet sexy look. The Barbie makeup is usually paired with a coquette or cute outfit, the most common thing I’ve seen were cute bows in hair.
A few of my favourite Barbie Makeup looks:
The “Dark Feminine” Makeup
Dark feminine makeup revolves around creating a bold and striking appearance, particularly focusing on the eyes. The signature of this look is often a dark smokey eye, achieved using deep shades like plum, charcoal, or dark brown eyeshadows. In addition to the eyes, the face is sculpted to enhance features and add dimension. This includes contouring to define the cheekbones, jawline, and nose.
Three years ago, the “Reverse Cat eye” look went viral, it looks similar to the dark feminine eyes and gives off the same intensity, so here’s a great tutorial for that:
I really hope you enjoyed this article and you were able to find your next signature makeup look! Let me know which was your favourite or if you love a makeup look that wasn’t listed in the article! I would love to hear your thoughts!
